Welcome  to the Scholarship page!

New Zealand’s Aim for Scholarship

Scholarship provides recognition and monetary reward to top students in their last year of schooling. Scholarship exams enable candidates to be assessed against challenging standards, and are demanding for the most able candidates in each subject.

Scholarship candidates are expected to demonstrate high-level critical thinking, abstraction and generalisation, and to integrate, synthesise and apply knowledge, skills, understanding and ideas to complex situations.

St Dominic’s Aim for Scholarship

St Dominic’s Catholic College provides an opportunity for potential students to prepare for and attempt one or more courses of scholarship study. It fits with our main goal of raising student achievement and caters for some of our gifted and talented students. This is an opportunity for students who may not achieve a Scholarship award, but can use this opportunity to work towards excellence at NCEA Level 3.
